چکیده
Governments and authorities worldwide consider road traffic crashes (RTCs) to be a major concern. These incur losses in terms of productivity, property, life. For country establish its action plans, it is crucial comprehend the reasons for consequences collisions. The main objective this research study was evaluate rank important supporting factors influencing on road. To identify most significant accident causation elements, proportion-based analytic hierarchy process (PBAHP) used order their relative importance. In study, city Al-Ahsa, located eastern province Saudi Arabia, as case since highest RTC-prone area region. PBAHP calculate importance/weights different crash types impact severity. It found that vehicle-overturned collisions which result fatal have weight, whereas “hit motorcycle” serious injury crashes. When vehicles (two or more) collide with one another while they are moving, appears likelihood fatality collision increases. weights came from “driver distraction”, “leaving insufficient safe distance”, “speeding”, also generated similar relatively high Weights approach were develop utility functions predicting severity This could assist decision-makers concentrating key elements affecting enhancing safety.
